The variety shown below is a blend of art classes I have taught, in both private and public schools, workshops, daily-substitute teaching, internship student teaching, long-term substitute teaching, Expressive Arts Facilitation, and art making out in the community.
The breadth of ages, abilities and locations in my teaching career have offered me a wide range of experiences, preparation and skills to draw from. I have taught art to people ranging in ages from two-100.
I am adaptable and resourceful. I've taught in Title 1 schools where we have to work with found objects and I've taught in affluent communities where a wide variety of supplies are at our disposal. Prior to teaching, I was a grant writer and have brought those skillsets with me in full force.
My students and I participate in Art shows and statewide exhibitions, and I am an active member on the Vermont Art Educators Association (VAEA) Board. I volunteer and work at the after-school programs to extend Art Club to as many students as possible. I pour myself into my work and love what I do. I have served as a mentor teacher to multiple other art educators. I love teaching ALL AGES.
